Created by the Water Act of 1964, the Adour-Garonne Water Agency is a public institution of the State.
Its mission is to combat pollution and protect water and aquatic environments, thereby contributing to the achievement of good status for all waters in the Adour-Garonne basin and to the search for a balance between available resources and water needs.

It also aims to engage with the public and mobilise citizens around actions to promote biodiversity.
