Surfrider Blue

Surfrider Blue is an influential collective of positive activists whose goal is to support and share Surfrider’s causes.

Comprising more than a hundred influential and inspiring personalities, Surfrider Blue is a collective of activists committed to the fight for the preservation and protection of the ocean.

The members of the collective are champions, artists and entrepreneurs, but above all they are true lovers of the ocean, ready to pool their resources and influence to make an immediate impact and a difference.

‘Being a Surfrider Blue member means being an influential person who is sensitive to environmental issues, wants to take action in every way possible, and wants to lead or create a project that makes an impact.’

Olivier CANTET, Chairman of Surfrider Blue

THE 3 COMMITMENTS OF A SURFRIDER BLUE MEMBER

Commitment #1

Financial support

Thanks to their support, whether through their membership, donations or active participation in recruiting new members, Surfrider Blue personalities play a major role in amplifying the projects carried out by the Surfrider Foundation.

Commitment #2

Donate your time

Participating in events organised by the association, putting their skills to good use in the service of the association, and offering pro bono services through their companies are a real commitment to Surfrider and to supporting the NGO in its development.

Commitment #3

Expanding Surfrider's visibility

The influence and reach of Surfrider Blue members’ actions represent a wonderful opportunity to increase the visibility of Surfrider Foundation’s projects and campaigns. By sharing them with their communities, they help spread awareness of the environmental issues we all face.

Surfrider's commitment to the community

  • Enabling people to work together rather than individually in a friendly atmosphere,
  • Network (CEOs, French tech, investors, athletes, etc.) through exclusive events,
  • Access Surfrider’s global development strategy,
  • Work closely with project managers to monitor project progress.

Join Surfrider Blue

Because threats to the ocean are growing every day, and we have no time to lose.
Rather than acting individually, we believe in the power of collective action.

Each Surfrider Blue member supports a project, whether it concerns visible or invisible pollution, uses French Tech or participatory science, or raises awareness among the younger generation.
Everyone finds their cause.

Protection of marine and coastal areas

Combating pollution from ships and developing marine renewable energy (MRE) while ensuring dialogue between the various stakeholders is essential to protect the ocean and preserve marine biodiversity.

Healthy aquatic environment

Recreational use of ponds, rivers, lakes, seas and oceans is extremely popular in Europe. Unfortunately, the waters of these different environments are subject to significant human and environmental pressures, too often leading to pollution that endangers not only the ecosystems that thrive there, but also the health of those who enjoy water sports.

Fight plastic pollution

Whether it’s microplastics invisible to the naked eye, single-use plastics (packaging, etc.), cigarette butts or biomedia, plastic is everywhere. It poisons the ocean and suffocates marine ecosystems. To tackle this scourge and protect the oceans and our health, we are taking action on all fronts, from the field to the institutions.
